CFH Staff

The work of Catholics for Housing is accomplished by a staff of dedicated people:

Karen S. DeVito, Executive Director

Karen assumed the position of Executive Director in January 2009.  Karen joined Catholics for Housing in 2002 having worked with the Milford Housing Authority in Milford, CT for 12 years.  At the Housing Authority, Karen had responsibilities for the Housing Choice Voucher Program, the Public Housing Program and the Family Self-Sufficiency Program. Karen is a member of the Prince William Housing Continuum of Care Network, having served 3 years as the Chair; she is a member of the Prince William County Coalition of Human Services and was appointed by Supervisor John Jenkins to the Prince William County Housing Board.

Beverly J. Shaner, Project Manager

Beverly joined the Catholics for Housing staff in June of 2010 as the Administrative Assistant.  She provides administrative support for Catholics for Housing as well as the administration of the two direct service programs:  Edie Streett Security Deposit Assistance Program and the Virginia Ely Senior Rental Assistance Program.  Beverly is working directly with the clients as they contact CFH as well as the management of the programs.  Beverly comes to CFH with a background in real estate, lending, office administration and retail.
