CFH Board of Directors
A Board
of Directors
is responsible for the overall
management of the corporation. The Board sets goals, makes
policy, oversees development and hires an Executive Director to
carry out its organizational plan. There are currently 8
directors elected on staggered three-year terms; four directors
are elected as Board Officers for 1 year renewable terms. The
Board meets formally on a quarterly basis. An Executive
Committee, consisting of the four current officers, the past
President of the corporation and the Executive Director,
addresses critical action required by the corporation between
scheduled meetings and brings material items to the attention of
the full Board.

Chairman of the Board
As
Chairman of the Board of CFH, Inc., John Hall is
responsible for the organization's growth, strategic development
and overall management.
John was elected to
CFH's Board of Directors in May 2000. He is an active
McLean-based real estate developer. John has been
involved in residential, commercial and industrial developments.
He has developed over 4000 residential lots in Virginia,
Minnesota and Missouri which included man made lakes, clubhouses
and
golf courses.
John has master planned and zoned over 1,000 acres for light and
heavy industrial purposes in the Fredericksburg, Virginia area,
where he was instrumental in locating several major companies.
Among his commercial developments are two office buildings in
Minnesota, twelve story office buildings in
Alexandria, Virginia and the K-Mart shopping
center and neighborhood shopping center in Annandale, Virginia.
John is very active in community and civic affairs, as well as,
a number of professional organizations. Having obtained a B.S.
from the University of South Dakota, John is a Director of the
University of South Dakota Foundation and a member of the
Presidents Club of the University of South Dakota.
Robert Neuman
- President
(Bob) earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University
and is a licensed Architect in Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey,
Vermont and the District of Columbia.
Bob has had varied architectural
background in all phases of practice, including marketing,
design, site planning, client and public relations,
administration feasibility studies, preparation of construction
documents, budgeting and cost control and on-site monitoring of
construction.
He has been coordinating architect
for religious facilities, multi-family residential projects,
educational structures, childcare projects, restaurants,
shopping centers, townhouses, apartments, office buildings and
community centers.
He has appeared before Planning
Commissions, Zoning Commissions and Architectural Review Boards.
The focus of Bob’s work has always
been community related, including over fifty churches, three
community centers, several townhouse developments and apartment
complexes, childcare centers and commercial offices and retail
stores.
Bob is associated with the American Institute of Architects,
Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture, National
Trust for Historic Preservation, Optimist Club of Reston and the
Cornell Club of Washington.
Bob has served on a variety of community boards including
YMCA Fairfax, Reston; Fairfax County Commission on Organ and
Tissue Donation and Transplantation, Fairfax County Committee of
100, Virginia Society of the AIA and many others.
Thomas M. Vaught - Vice
President
Tom was elected to CFH's Board of
Directors in May 2000. He has been a resident of Briarcliff,
Tyson's Corners, since 1981 and served on the Briarcliff Tenants
Association for more than 10 years. Tom is a former
President of the Briarcliff's Tenant Association. The
Briarcliff computer center project is being spearheaded by Tom,
who is actively involved in all aspects from networking to
personnel.
Michael S. A. Dechert, Ph. D. - Secretary
Michael, a resident of Lorton,
Virginia was elected to the CFH Board of Directors in October
2003. Michael received his Ph.D. in Architecture in 1984
with distinction. He was a Fulbright Award recipient in
1987-1988 as a research scholar and is a member of the American
Institute of Architects, American Society of Civil Engineers,
Architectural Engineering Institute and the Society of
Architectural Historians among others. He currently owns MSD
Associates with projects in Georgetown, Guyana, Charlestown,
WV., Indian Head, MD and others. Michael is fluent in
Italian, French and Spanish.
James P. McAndrews,
III - Treasurer
(Jim) is a Certified Public Account with expertise in tax law &
tax audit resolutions, leadership & management skills, SEC
accounting and disclosures, sophisticated financial instruments
& transactions and business process improvements.
Jim is currently Tax Director of Watkins Meegan, LLC, a
large DC-area based public accounting firm.
Jim has an extensive
background including work with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae.
Jim earned a Masters of Law in Taxation in 1989, a J.D. in 1985,
a B.S.B.A. in 1978 from Georgetown University Law Center, is a
Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Virginia and was
admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania
and Virginia
Jim is Chapter President of the Tax Executive Institute for
the Baltimore-Washington Chapter, has served as Co-Chair of
the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and is a member of the Board
of Directors and Treasurer of the Mid-Atlantic Catholic
School Consortium.
Jim also serves on other boards and supports local community
activities.
Robert J. Sheehan - Past
President
Bob, a
resident of Woodbridge, is President of Regis J. Sheehan &
Associates, a management and market research firm. Bob is
a founding Director of Georgetown Consulting, Inc., a consortium
of senior management consultants and a founding member of the
Superior Business Roundtable, an international group of CEO's
and senior executives seeking dynamics for superior business
performance.
Bob has also
served as Vice President for Economic Policy and Research for
the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB). He served
in executive and professional positions with the Urban
Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh, the Department of City
Planning in Pittsburgh, and ACTION Housing, Inc., a non-profit
housing development and housing services corporation. Bob
was Chairman of the Fairfax County, Virginia Redevelopment and
Housing Authority from 1988 to 1995.
Bob is listed
in "Who's Who" and "Who's Who in Business and Industry".
He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with an A.B.
and M.A. in Economics and did post graduate work at the
University of Pittsburgh and American University. His
undergraduate work includes a minor in Industrial Engineering.
